Vinyl Application Instructions
There are 2 ways that we recommend installation of vinyl lettering/graphics:

  1. Wet Application
Less chance of errors/mistakes. You can move or remove application immediately only (within about 5-10 seconds before it sets) if position is undesirable. Added installation time to allow for drying.  This application is for Most Beginners, plus it's used for the installation of intricate or layered vinyl by Intermediate & Advanced Vinyl Installers

  2. Dry Application
Skilled Installers; it's a peel-n-stick, "no going back once it's down" type installation. It's fast and immediately dry. This application is for Some Coordinated Beginners, and most Intermediate & Advanced Vinyl Installers

Wet Application

6 Easy Steps for Vinyl Lettering Wet Application
For our easy, near-perfection 5-step vinyl installation, you will need the following tools:

Your vinyl lettering, a squeegee or credit card (or something with a straight sturdy edge), a tape measure, a 32 oz. (1 QT.) spray bottle with a slight squeeze (about a teaspoon) of dish soap and fill the rest of the bottle with water, and some masking tape.

  1. First, put masking tape on the 2 top corners and then, use your tape measure to perfect the positioning by measuring and repositioning the tape used to stick the vinyl to the surface until it is exactly where you want it.

  2. Second, use one long piece of masking tape to tape the top of the entire vinyl imprint to your mounting surface (the tape will hold it in place while you bend back the vinyl to peel & remove the paper backing). Be sure to have someone ready to help you if it is windy because you might need someone to help hold the vinyl or to spray the dish soap mixture onto the exposed sticky part of the vinyl while removing the backing so that it doesn't stick together or stick onto anything else while you are preparing it to stick it to your surface.

  3. Next, flip the image upward, upside down, and peel off the paper backing.

  4. After removing the paper backing (the sticky part of the vinyl should be exposed at this point), use your dish soap spray mixture in the spray bottle to wet the sticky back of the vinyl and the mounting surface you are attaching it to and flip the image back down to lay down the vinyl correctly onto the mounting surface.

  5. Use either a squeegee or a credit card to smooth out any water or air bubbles under the image until you are sure all are removed, starting from the top down.

  6. After allowing the vinyl to dry a few minutes, you may then remove the masking tape and transfer tape (which holds it all together) from the top of your vinyl and pat dry.

The installation is now complete.

Dry Application

5 Easy Steps for Vinyl Lettering Application
For our near-perfection dry installation, you will need the following tools:

Your vinyl lettering, a squeegee or credit card (or something with a straight sturdy edge), a tape measure, and some masking tape.

  1. First, eye out as closely as possible where the vinyl will be installed and then use tape to adhere the vinyl to your surface as close as possible to where you want it.

  2. Then, use your tape measure to perfect the positioning by measuring and repositioning the tape used to stick the vinyl to the surface until it is exactly where you want it.

  3. Then, run a line of masking tape down the middle of the vinyl lettering/logo to hold it in place while you bend back the vinyl to peel & remove the paper backing.
3a. Be sure to have someone ready to help you if it is windy because you might need someone to help hold the vinyl to prevent the sticky part of the vinyl from sticking together or sticking onto anything else while you are preparing it to stick it to your surface.

  4. Next, after removing the paper backing (the sticky part of the vinyl should be exposed at this point), hold the 1/2 of the vinyl image you have exposed out slightly from your application site and using either a squeegee or a credit card to smooth it down onto the surface (removing any air bubbles), starting from the masking tape in the middle until you reach the end of your image.

  5. Then, remove the masking tape and repeat step 3a & 4, followed by removing the transfer tape (which holds it all together) from the top of your vinyl.

The installation is now complete.
